  1. I finally wrote my review of The Lacuna. I loved this book! Nobody writes literary fiction in a historical context like Kingsolver.
    Next up on my list is Major Pettigrew's Last Stand.

  2. My Korean Deli by Ben Ryder Howe is a wonderful true story about a WASP who marries a Korean woman and they buy a deli for her mother. Funny, honest, poignant- an All-American story about a Korean deli.

  3. I'm Going Where I Belong is a novel about a wealthy Hatian family who emigrate to the U.S. only to find other hardships there.

  5. This is the first of my 2011 Challenge commitments to be completed. But I've enjoyed it so much, I'm going to continue reading. Actually, I'm in the middle of listening to Pete Hamil's Forever right now! Great idea for a challenge, Colleen.

  7. Dragon's Pupils is written by a Chinese immigrant to Australia and has a lot of stories from ancient China re myths, martial arts, kung fu. It's a fun YA book.
