Top Ten Winter Themed Book Covers

As we faced freezing temps here in the Northeast over the past week, I found myself to drawn to books - what is better than curling up with a good book on a cold day (preferably with a fire)? As I looked through my books, I saw a winter theme in the covers.  Below are the Top Ten Winter Themed Covers on my shelves (or TBR):

What are your favorite winter themed covers?

  1. I think my favorite of the covers you chose is The Good House (I want to listen to this book). I also liked the cover of Whistlin' Dixie in a Noreaster and bought the book last year - still need to read it.
    Stay warm, Colleen!

  3. My favorite covers on a book are beach scenes. I like ballet covers too, but I'll take a beach book any day!

  4. Ooh, nice ones! Some great wintry themed covers from my recent reading include: Beneath the Shadows, Two for Sorrow, and Mozart's Last Aria.

  5. I'm kind of preferring the light, bright ones - you know, the ones that don't look so much like what I'm seeing out of my window!

  8. Lovely collage! I haven't heard of any of these books, but I like all the covers, especially when put together. I'm a snow fan myself--just finished a quilted pillow in frosty fabrics and I relish the wintery prettiness.

  9. My 2 favorites were The Snow Child and The Tragedy Paper. Great books too! Other favorite winter covers from past years would be Snow Falling on Ceders by David Guterson, Midwives by Chris Bohjalian, Picking Bones from Ash by Marie Mutsuki Mockett and The Snow Leopard by Peter Mathiessen. It was unusually cold last weekend in NYC but I spent most of it indoors at the SCBWI Conference.
