I bought Umrigar's book and still have not read it. UGH, so behind on reading. Enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would read the Oz book either. I think my copy of Wicked ended up at the used bookstore unread. I received Umrigar's book and am looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI got an unsolicited copy of Out of Oz, too. And I wasn't that crazy about Wicked. Not sure how I got on that list.
ReplyDeleteThe Maguire and Umrigar books have been on a lot of mailbox lists today. Hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! your reads.

I probably wouldn't read Out of Oz either, but my sister would love it. If no one else enters, please enter her. I'm really excited about the new Umrigar book.
ReplyDeleteI also received The World We found. I probably would read Out of Oz because I enjoy his work.

Ondaatje's "The Cat's Table", I hope I will have time to read it very soon :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes me smile when you say, "This is not a book I'm likely to read..." I read the first Wicked and was not overcome to say the least. Such a lot of fuss about this author, which remains rather a mystery to me. Thanks for stopping by today!
ReplyDeleteOut of Oz doesn't sound like my cup of tea either. How nice of you to offer to share it with another reader! Hope you enjoy the other titles.
ReplyDeleteColleen, you got some great books last week. Looking forward to the Umrigar book.
ReplyDeleteWe just got our internet back today after Saturday's storm, so I am thrilled I can visit your blog again.
Oh I've been wanting to read Comfort and Joy. Hope it's good!
ReplyDeleteOne of the books I recommend all the time in the store is Umrigar's The Space Between Us. I am anxious to read this new one.
ReplyDeleteI have read all the books out the series so far, and I'm really into the concept. Wicked was by fare the best one. I would love to see it through to the end. I'm more than happy to take you copy off your hands :)

I would definitely read Gregory Maguire's latest and I am sad it did not arrive in my mailbox. I have already chatted up about my time with him at BEA...but that is all I will say.
