    i read 'the castaways' a few weeks ago, but didn't enjoy it too much. let me see if i can go dig up my review here. hopefully you'll have better luck with it and enjoy it more than i did. although i will admit that i was probably a little harsher on the book than usual.

    have fun on your vacation! i can't wait to read your review of 'the corrections' and see if it's worth reading. it's quite a monster.

    I'll be interested to read your post on Netherland. I read it last year and thought it was beautifully done, though I'm having difficulty putting into words exactly what it was that I liked about it.

    I love the cover of Netherland. I've almost bought it a bunch of times, even though I don't know much of what it's about :)
